Long before the big day, countless details must be taken care of to ensure that everything smoothly falls into place.
The wedding dress is chosen, the reception site is booked, now it is time to work on the decorations for your wedding and flower arrangements. There are so many things to consider when you are choosing your wedding flowers and decor, but this is where MW Flower Design can help you to work out the fines details of your bridal bouquet, table centerpieces and how to coordinate the color. There are no limits to what can be done with flowers. Whether it is a bridal bouquet, a bridesmaid’s pomander, a simple bloom with ribbon in wedding color, an intricate boutonniere, a unique table centerpiece or an aisle decor; I make sure it fits your wedding theme and enhances the reception site. With my creativity and an eye for detail, unusual shapes, flower texture, cleverly placed candelas can create a visually stunning event for you and an unforgettable event for your guests.
The First Meeting
In the initial consultation, we determine the floral and decorating needs; select colour combinations, type and style of ribbon used. We discuss what flowers to use, your wedding budget and the ways to use it to your advantage.
I come to the meeting with an open mind and a library of photographs of my flower designs and reference materials. The initial consultation lasts typically between one to two hours. I ask my clients to arrive at our meeting with an idea of their style, how they would like to express it, and with the priority they wish to place on their wedding flowers and decorations. It is helpful to have picture clippings of favorite flowers, table centerpieces, and color combination that evoke the feeling that you want to convey. Also knowing the overall decor style (e.g., like natural, vintage, elegant, dramatic, garden) is helpful in the process.
Wedding flowers do not have to be traditional, unless you are after that look. Nowadays, many weddings include non-traditional elements in the flower arrangements, like ostrich feather centerpieces or peacock feathers as an element of the bridal bouquet or table centerpiece, trees, twigs with crystals, string of pearls for colour and texture. I am more than happy to work with these and a variety of other themes.
Corporate events can be also elegant and trendy. I can incorporate the company logo and make it a part of a table centerpiece or use exotic flowers to create statement making centerpieces.
The possibilities are endless; it’s all up to the imagination.
